Blossom's Site Search indexes all documents accessible through the Web, including those in PDF files, those accessed via commands, and those that reside on related sites. Some of our clients use separate indexes for specific portions of their site, such as the municipal code or meeting minutes.

Here are a couple of examples:

  • The Web site for the San Diego Natural History Museum has integrated Site Search seamlessly with their site.
  • The Web site for the County of Hawaii uses separate indexes for the county council, the county code, and the whole site.

  Affinity Search

Affinity Search helps turn a site into a community hub by giving visitors the ability to search across related Web sites.

Here are a couple of examples:

  • In Kern County, California, the city of Bakersfield and the county have combined forces to create a government portal. The portal uses Affinity Search to provide quick access to documents from over a dozen sites.
  • The National Sea Grant Program NOAA uses Affinity Search to provide search across the 40 Sea Grant programs at various universities across the U.S.
